Amazon.com Product Description
Featuring an exclusive electro-mechanical movement developed and patented by TAG Heuer, this Link Calibre S men's watch (model CJF7110.BA0587) combines mechanical and quartz timekeeping to offer unrivaled functionality thanks to no fewer than 230 components--including 5 bidirectional motors, ensure very high-precision functions. Its intuitive, easy-to-read chronograph offers 1/100 of a second precisiion and offers measurement of simple time, split time, and two periods of time that follow at very short intervals. When not used as a chronograph, the two half-moon subdials indicate the date (with a perpetual calendar applicable until 2099). It has a blue dial face with shining silver hour markers and luminous hands. It's matched to a stainless steel bracelet band composed of satin-finished S-shaped links, and the watch case is topped by a tachymeter (used for measuring time over distance). Other features include an anti-reflective scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--suitable for recreational scuba diving.

How to Use a Tachymeter
A tachymeter is an instrument for measuring speed. It is a chronograph with a graduated dial on which speed can be read off in kilometers per hour based on 1000 meters distance. For example, the chronograph indicates that the distance of one kilometer has been covered in 30 seconds. The corresponding point on the tachymeter scale indicates 120, and thus the speed is 120km per hour.

This watch is great. It is the best looking watch I have seen in a long time. Date function is unique and works great. A little challenging setting time and date. I am very happy overall.

3 out of 5 stars Great Watch, but there is a subject with the accuracy January 23, 2008

This watch is excellent. No doubts about that. I got this watch 2 month ago, but I'm not 100% happy with one subject.
With the saphire anti-glare crystal the watch looks very nice. The operation of chronograph is very easy and the time values (with 1/100 sec. accuracy) also very easy to read. The watch is on the heavy side, but with the smooth bracelet you don't feel it.
My subject is the accuracy. Without using the chronograph, the watch looses 1 sec/week. Thats an acceptable value for such kind of watch. But, if you repeatedly use the chronograph, say some 5 times and play pushing the buttons sometimes, the watch looses 1 second that day. And that's a problem for me.
Because of that I went to an Official TagHeuer dealer and made a battery change for US$ 25.-, but the situation continue being the same.

4 out of 5 stars Great watch, if you have money to burn December 30, 2007

Just got this watch and I have to tell you it is really nice. You can dress it us or dress it down. The Saphire Crystal can only be scratched by a diamond or another saphire. It has anti-glare crystal so it looks like it has no glass compared to a regular watch side by side. When it does reflect light, it makes the black bezel look dark blue or sometimes deep purple.

It tells the date by using the two smaller dials that resemble a tachonmeter. It says it has a perpetual calander, so you don't have to touch it on short months or even leap years... it does it automatically!

I got this for my wedding anaversary... so unless you have just under $3,000 to burn... I would just get someting else..lol.. This is a serious time peice, and looks smart, and tech-wise. This watch suttley states, "it's a nice watch, and if you only knew how much it costs!" lol
